"Democrats shouldn't be afraid to run on abortion and democracy" seems like something we should mock for obviousness, but I'm sure some analyst for the NYT is about to advise just the opposite.

My biggest takeaway from tonight: 1.) Democrats shouldn't be afraid to run on abortion and democracy and 2.) Democrats must invest in young voters — we saved democracy in 2018, 2020, 2022, and again in Wisconsin. Republicans stand no chance if Democrats do both. Amazing news.

Explaining Wisconsin is simple:

1) The GOP hasn't learned the lesson of the midterms: their extremism is a severe liability. Instead they've leaned into it.

2) Dems continue to outraise and outwork GOPs, largely thanks to point #1.

Clarification or walk-back? You be the judge.

In an interview Wednesday, Knodl said he had been talking about potentially impeaching Protasiewicz as a county judge, not as a justice.

He said he saw no reason to do that now that she will be leaving the Milwaukee court for the high court.
