I'm a Mac... and I'm about to be eaten by feral dingoes
Umm, dingoes were never domesticated and so could not qualify for going feral. Also, in all fairness, this is an old problem. I recall the original GPS devices providing directions in Utah as being notorious for sending drivers down unpaved Jeep roads as the result of a failure in the "shortest distance" algorithm. I especially recall one driver in a minivan was stranded for an extended period went sent into a dead-end. The road ended at a cliff wall of a 300 meter deep slot canyon. It started restarted again 100 meters across the chasm. The GPS had computed the two separate roads as one, the break being too small to recognize.
