On a related note, I've recently seen AI believers complain about mechanomorphic thinking.

Over a year ago I met an Anthropic employee at a conference and at one point she mentioned that one of the things she was working on was whether or not it was cruel to ever turn off an AI model. I thought she was joking. She was not.

I recall Altman saying that he made more money off Popeye than any of his other movies. The explosion in home video created a huge market for kid-friendly movies.

The term is often treated as a badge of honor, which would be a good thing if it were broadly and fairly applied to all neurodivergent people and if so many of these tech bros weren't at the same time pushing eugenics and if tech money weren't largely responsible for RFK Jr. being the secretary of Health and Human Services
