davidfrum @davidfrum 15 Jul One of the many evils of the employer-based healthcare system is that it makes unemployment an almost total personal catastrophe ...It is true that if we wanted labor market mobility then we would face this issue head on. Lot's of other financial services (bank account, auto insurance) don't depend on employers. The one bright side of plans like the 401(k) is that they also decouple the dependence of former employees on the health of the employer's pension plan. Why can't we do the sdame thing for health insurance?
