I wish I had time to join this debate

But work's hectic, I just got over some dental work and this blog is already my personal hydra (every time I get one post up, two more appear in the queue). So I'll just briefly mention that Andrew Gelman has good post followed by an even better discussion on economists up at his site. Definitely worth a look.
